It's hard to believe the end of the year is upon us!
Despite a volatile macroeconomic environment, 2023 was another banner year for Citi Ventures.
On the investment side, we made 21 investments into category-defining startups (including follow-ons) and drove 20 new or expanded commercial deals between Citi and our portfolio companies. This year, our investments ranged not only across our fintech and enterprise tech focus areas but also across the globe — from Latin America to Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We are proud to support game-changing entrepreneurs building companies that are aligned with Citi's strategy and Transformation efforts.
In terms of thought leadership and ecosystem development, we published 75 articles and 46 videos on our portfolio companies, industry insights and trends we're following; held 28 events, including our 2023 FinTech Summit, Generative AI Showcase and CIO/CTO Forum; and spoke at 57+ conferences, panels and other engagements.
