How to book with partner airlines
Members looking to book a flight using their AAdvantage® miles with a partner airline can do so through aa.com. There’s no need to transfer miles or book through the partner airline’s site.
You’ll need to go to the American Airlines home page, then click “plan travel,” followed by “book flights.” Make sure “redeem miles” is checked and fill in your flight details — where you want to fly to and from, passenger details and travel dates. Under options, select “all airlines” from the dropdown menu (this allows you to search both American Airlines and partner airline flights) and click “search.” From there, you’ll see travel options and how many miles each flight costs to book. Select your flights and book with miles.
How many AAdvantage® miles do I need to book a flight?
The cost of a flight using AAdvantage® miles depends on several factors, such as your flight length, seat location and the airline you choose. For example, you can book a flight on American Airlines for as little as 7,500 AAdvantage® miles, plus taxes and fees.
Whether you're booking a flight with American Airlines or with a partner airline, AAdvantage® miles can help.
