Bio

Sunita leads Citi Ventures’ platform and partnership work. She focuses on portfolio support and success, commercialization, broader ecosystem partnerships and cultivating the founder community.

Sunita's career spans from the international development ecosystem to venture capital, with the throughline centered on supporting founders and their companies. Most recently, she was a part of the founding team of HQ Digital, Digital Currency Group's wealth and life management subsidiary. At HQ, she led the Platform team, directing the overall founder experience, community and marketing. Prior to HQ, she was Head of Platform at Envision Accelerator, where she worked on partnerships, programming and the accelerator experience for founders. Sunita started her career at the United Nations Foundation focused on global investments and grants for first-time female founders within Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

Sunita received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a mentor at Built by Girls and She256, organizations dedicated to advancing women and minorities in tech and the blockchain ecosystem. A Seattle native now living in New York City, Sunita enjoys spending time traveling, discussing cultural anthropology, playing tennis and skiing.
