Sophia joined Citi Ventures in 2017, and is responsible for driving strategic initiatives and growth opportunities for Citi’s Consumer business. As a Portfolio Manager she develops innovation strategy for the Bank, leads ideation workshops for cross-functional teams, manages a portfolio of internal B2C startups from ideation to validation and launch, and fosters collaboration between D10X and Citi business partners.

Prior to joining Citi Ventures, Sophia was part of KPMG’s IT Advisory practice. She was also an inaugural fellow in the Excel Ventures Program, a 10-week entrepreneurship accelerator and technological venture creation program in Tel Aviv, Israel. As part of the fellowship, she collaborated with leaders in the Tel Aviv startup ecosystem and worked on developing a financial literacy tool for children.

Sophia holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Spanish from the University of Georgia, and spent a year studying at Oxford University. Outside of work she is an entrepreneurship mentor with NFTE and sits on the Excel Ventures Alumni Board. She enjoys running in Central Park, drinking coffee, and skiing on both snow and water.
