"It is important to not stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing, especially when directed towards a positive change. I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of Citi’s platform that works towards financial inclusion for all people."

Web Development, Software Architecture, Design, Design and Architecture of Electrical Grid Systems

Emina is a software engineer for Citi Ventures Studio, currently working with the Worthi team.

Emina graduated from the University of Montenegro in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a focus on Energy and Automation. Her final thesis was on “Ferroresonance Modeling in an Electric Power Plant Using MathLAB.” Shortly after graduating, Emina gained experience engineering lighting systems for both residential and industrial buildings through her work for a lighting company in Montenegro. However, her true interest was in software engineering, so Emina moved to the USA and completed an immersive Full-Stack Software Engineering program at App Academy in New York City. She then helped New York real estate company NDG Associates build their back-end, which significantly improved workflow efficiency within the company.

Outside of the engineering world, Emina enjoys exploring different cultures (aiming to visit at least three different countries a year) and learning as many languages as she can. Currently, her main focus is on Arabic and Spanish. She loves sports, hiking, and will always take on an exciting outdoor adventure.
