"Innovation is the vehicle through which we will improve the world around us. I hope to be a catalyst and guide for the founders who are boldly challenging the status quo in order to change the world."
Alex invests in startups through the Citi Impact Fund, helping develop new technologies that improve the world around us. He is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs who are leveraging innovation to drive scalable social, economic, and environmental impact.
Alex began his career as a real estate investor in Los Angeles, focused on community development projects in low- to moderate-income communities around the United States. He then moved to MUFG Bank, managing the bank’s Public Finance credit portfolio before heading to business school. While in grad school Alex focused on early-stage ventures, serving on the investment teams at Dorm Room Fund and Supernode Ventures.
Alex has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from UCLA. In his spare time he can be found attending live music events, backpacking mountain trails, playing basketball, or aggressively managing his fantasy football team. He also enjoys cooking and learning new recipes, as well as discovering new restaurants (which saves him a little time and effort).
