Bank details form and supporting documentation

The bank account credit of the pension allows you to receive the pension amount with value date the 1st working day of each month, thus avoiding the risk of problems related to the local postal disruptions (such as delays in receiving the cheque and / or in collecting the amounts, loss or misplacement of the title, etc.), which could hinder the regularity of payments.

For this reason, Citi recommends the communication of bank details for the purpose of direct credit, if this has not yet been implemented by the pensioner.

In order to set up the bank details, you can contact the Citi call center at the email or phone number below or you can contact your nearest Patronato / Consulate who will give you all the necessary instructions.

Once the relevant Account Mandate Form has been completed, it is necessary to attach:

  1. a copy of the first page of your bank statement, containing the name of the holder and / or joint holder, and the complete account number or;
  2. in case of a recently opened account, a letter on your bank letterhead, duly signed by the same bank, including, also in this case, the name of the holder, and the complete account number

We point out that the aforementioned supporting documentation must clearly indicate that the bank account is in your name and that it corresponds to the account number to which you want your pension to be credited.

More generally, any information declared in the form must be consistent with what is reported in the supporting documentation.

In summary, please make sure that:

The completed form, with the relative supporting documentation, must be sent in original by ordinary mail.

Payment amount

Please be advised that the amount of the pension to be paid is determined by INPS.

Upon receipt of the instruction from INPS, Citi will pay the exact amount indicated by the pension provider. If the pension is paid in local currency, the exchange rates applied will be available on the Citi/INPS website.

If you would like to receive more information about the amount of your pension, please contact INPS directly.

Please note that the time required for the pension to be credited in your current account depends on the beneficiary bank. We invite you to contact Citi only if you did not receive your payment within your account by midnight on the given day.
