Citi Bulgaria and its employees are active participants in many global and local volunteer charity initiatives, and community sponsorships:
- Volunteering – each year we join our colleagues around the world and take part in Citi’s annual global volunteer initiative Global Community Day. Staff volunteer their time and skills in various projects every year working with disadvantaged children, renovation and refurbishment of youth homes and orphanages, environmental clean-up and nature preservation projects, and in support of Foundation programs.

- More and More is an employee payroll donation program launched in 2002 in partnership with the BCause Foundation. Employees voluntarily contribute a small sum from their monthly salary to their cause of choice – helping the treatment and therapy of sick children and children with disabilities.
- Environmental issues - Citi Bulgaria joined other Citi franchises around the world by partnering with customers and NGOs in the campaign to move clients to paperless statements, thereby reducing paper usage and saving trees. To mark the move to electronic statements, Citi organized a tree planting campaign with the assistance of the Vitosha park authorities. Internally, Citi Bulgaria has also implemented a number of environmentally friendly processes ranging from optimization of print equipment to automatic lights-off energy saving security system.
- Charitable contributions and sponsorships - Citi Bulgaria and its employees provide support in cash and kind to different community projects that are part of the local CRS activities or part of Citi’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
