Immediately once you have activated the card, which you can do at www.citi.com/CostcoSetup. You can use the new card anywhere Visa is accepted, including Costco. Please destroy your Costco card from American Express at this time because it is no longer valid.
Visit www.citi.com/CostcoSetup to register your account for online access, all you need to have is your card in hand. If you are the primary cardmember, you’ll be able to register for online access as well as make payments, set up AutoPay payments, manage your account online, download previous statements, request a credit limit increase, learn more about rewards and benefits and enroll in paperless communications.
Please note, as part of the recent conversion, it may take a few days for all recent transactions to post.
If you recently made your payment to American Express, please be advised it will post to your Citi account as of the day it was received by American Express. It may take a few days for your payment to post with Citi and therefore your balance may not be up to date. Your recent payment made to American Express may not appear on the View Scheduled Payments & History page, but future payments to Citi will.

Payment account information and any scheduled automatic payments weren’t transferred from your previous issuer – but, as the primary cardmember, you can easily set up AutoPay or schedule a future payment through Citi Mobile® App or Citi® Online. Once you have registered to access your account with Citi Online, just go to the Make a Payment button, then select ‘Manage AutoPay’ to setup AutoPay. All you need is your checking account and routing number.
Citi Online displays your Costco Cash Back Rewards as of your last statement, while you may have previously seen your rewards in real time. When your next statement closes, you will see all of your Cash Rewards earned up until that statement closing date. You can review how all of your Costco Cash Rewards were earned by visiting the rewards detail pages in Citi Online.
To add your Costco card to an existing user ID, please log in at Citi.com with your existing user ID, click on Account Management, under the Link Accounts section click on Link/Unlink Citi Credit Card.
Please note linking a business credit card account to a consumer credit card account is not available. To link a credit card account in which you are an authorized user, you will need a Secure Transaction Code (STC) from the primary cardmember. The primary cardmember can request this by logging into their Citi Online account and accessing the Manage Authorized User option from the Account Management section.
The consumer card is currently available to provision in Digital Wallets and we are actively working to allow the provisioning of the small business credit card into digital wallets.
To access statements issued prior to the conversion you have to log into your account in Citi Online. From your account home page click the Download Statement link then select the date(s) of statements you wish to request for download to your Statement and Communications center. Please note, your request will take 48–72 hours to fulfill.

Your Due Date will be the same or close to your current Payment Due Date. As the primary cardmember, you can also change your Payment Due Date on Citi® Online.
You’ll need to setup new Payment Alerts. You can also sign up to get email, text or push notifications through Citi Mobile® App or Citi® Online.
For Citi Online, go to ‘Account Management’, then ‘Manage Account Alerts’ to set up email or SMS alerts.

You won’t lose any of the cash back rewards you’ve already earned from your Costco card from American Express. Any cash rewards earned on your previous card will automatically transfer to your new card after your current statement closes. Your February 2017 cash back rewards coupon from Citi will include cash back rewards earned on your Costco card from American Express during 2016 that were not previously distributed to you by American Express.
If your Costco card from American Express earned Membership Rewards® points, these points will not transfer to your new card. Contact American Express with any questions.
