Email statements are your Credit Card statements that will be sent to your e-mail address that we have in our records. Click here to view a sample
How it works:
• All Citibank Credit Card Customers can sign up for e-mail statements
• The statement will be sent to your e-mail address available in our records in an Adobe Acrobat* (PDF) format which is easy to open on any computer.
• Your Credit Card number and other sensitive information is masked on the PDF statement which makes e-mail statements secure.

Why should I subscribe for e-mail statement? |

The following are the benefits of e-mail statements:

E-mail statements are sent within 2 working days time after your statement date which means e-mail statements get to you much before paper statements.
2. Ease:
It’s hassle-free with no more lost or misplaced statements. View your statement details online with just a few clicks. You will review your statement in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, which is easy to open on any computer. If you do not have Acrobat Reader (version 6.0 or above) on your computer, please download the free software from the Adobe website (www.adobe.com).
3. Convenience:
You can download, save, print and access e-mail statements at anytime you wish and build your own statement history for printing anytime. |

How secure is this service? |

1. E-mail statements are created in PDF format, which is the standard format of files exchanged via emails or uploaded on the Internet. This format does not allow content to be edited and re-produced.
2. Customer-sensitive information like credit card number, name and postal address are masked on the e-mail statements.
3. Citibank e-mail statements do not have any links that require you to enter and confirm your confidential information like account or credit card number, PIN, password, passport number etc. |

What do I do if I face problems with receiving and/or accessing my e-mail statement? |
|
Listed below are a few possible technical issues that you might encounter and a solution for each: |

I) I do not get my e-mail statement even after I have subscribed for the service. |
|
Junk Email Folder:
If you use a web-based e-mail service like Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc., there could be a possibility that your e-mail statements are landing in your Spam or Junk e-mail folder. To get your Citibank E-mail Statements in your Inbox, please add the e-mail address from where your e-mail statements are sent to your Safe List or to your address book.
If internet connection is disabled in your computer and you use outlook 2000 version to access your e-mail, please note that it might take 2-3 minutes for your e-mail statement attachment to appear when you open the e-mail.
Mailbox Full:
Another reason could be that you have exceeded your mailbox capacity due to which your
e-mails are being returned undelivered to us with a “Mailbox full” or “Mailbox size exceeded” message. You will need to periodically delete unwanted e-mails to ensure you receive your new e-mails.

II) I have received my e-mail statement but I did not get the attachment in the e-mail. |

In certain cases where customers provide us with their company e-mail addresses, due to server settings or e-mail systems used there are restrictions on PDF attachments due to which the attachments are automatically deleted or do not appear. You could either check with your company’s technology team or provide us with a personal e-mail address for receiving e-mail statements. You can also contact our 24-Hour CitiPhone Banking Service on +971 4 311 4000 and request for your e-mail statement to be resent. |

III) I have received my email statement with the attachment but I am unable to open the attachment. |

1. To open and view your e-mail statement you will require the Adobe Acrobat Reader software (version 6.0 or above) installed on your computer. You can download this software for free from the Adobe website (www.adobe.com)
2. If you already have the software, please check if the software is corrupted or not working properly by opening up any other PDF files. You can download and re-install Adobe Acrobat Reader. |

IV) I have received my e-mail statement with the attachment but I am asked for a password to open the attachment, where can I get the password from? |

There are no passwords required to open your e-mail statement.
If you are using your company email address to receive your email statements, you could be asked for a password. This could be because of the security settings set by your company on the email servers.
Please either check this with your company’s technology team or provide us with a personal email address for sending your e-mail statements.
