The second edition of the Citi Handlowy-sponsored "My Finances" Program has wrapped up with the main prize in the "From Class to Cash" competition going to a team from Economic Secondary School No 8 in Szczecin. The second edition of the "My Finances" Program was inaugurated in November 2007 at a press conference "My Finances Today and Tomorrow," which was organized by the Kronenberg Foundation operating at Citi Handlowy and the National Bank of Poland.
The nationwide final of the "My Finances - From Class to Cash" competition was held in the form of a quiz and consisted of 30 questions and six tasks of different levels of difficulty, divided into three rounds. Teams from 16 provinces with a total of 62 students made it to the final. During the quiz, Investment Committees composed of students used an electronic system to communicate with the audience. The audience could see the questions asked and the points scored by individual teams.
As part of the second edition of the "My Finances" program, several hundred of Citi Handlowy employees conducted workshops for students during which they explained to them in a comprehensible way how the financial market works. Students could visit the bank's branches, where they were given a chance to put into practice the skills acquired in class.
In 2004 the National Bank of Poland, the Kronenberg Foundation operating at Citi Handlowy, and the Junior Achievement Foundation joined their forces to enhance the quality of financial education in secondary schools, and in particular to improve and spread the knowledge on personal finance.

The "My Finances" program will be continued in the years 2008-2010 and that it will be expanded to include workshops for parents. The number of participants is also to be doubled (to 453,600 students).
