New lending rules for microbusinesses at Citi Handlowy

Citi Handlowy is consistently developing its offer addressed to companies whose annual sales do not exceed PLN 8 million. The Bank has already introduced a renewable loan and special credit cards for microbusinesses. And now it is offering more flexibility. The Bank is simplifying its loan application procedure and offers a new higher credit limit.

Citi Handlowy is introducing new lending rules for CitiBusiness customers - companies whose annual sales do not exceed PLN 8 million. In response to the customers' needs the Bank has changed the maximum credit amount. Now CitiBusiness customers can apply for a loan of up to PLN 4.8 million. The maximum credit given by the Bank depends on the creditworthiness of the company, its annual sales, the number of years in the market and presented collateral. The bank determines the detailed terms and conditions of a loan during an individual meeting with the customer. The Citi Handlowy loan is available to entrepreneurs carrying out business activity for at least 12 months.

Along with the new lending rules, Citi Handlowy is also simplifying the loan application procedure. The customers will save time because the documentation requirements have been reduced. As of February 2008, Citi Handlowy has been using a scoring method to evaluate creditworthiness of customers. The Bank analyzes individual credit characteristics of the customer on the basis of an interview and at the same time it checks the customer's credibility in the Credit Information Bureau. The introduction of a scoring model enhances the credit decision process and in consequence greatly reduces the waiting time.
