How do I register for Citi Mobile?
If you are a Citibank Online user:
You can sign on to Citi Mobile using your Citibank Online User Name Password.
  1. Go to the www.citibankegypt.com and Click on «Sign On»
If you don't remember your User Name and Password, please do the following:
  1. Go to the www.citibankegypt.com
  2. Click on «Forgot your User Name» or «User ID Reminder»
  3. Follow the step-by-step instruction
If you are new to Citibank Online and don't have a User Name and Password yet:

Can I make a transfer through Citi Mobile without adding a payee?
With Citi Mobile you can make transfers to the payees that have already been added and activated. You can add a payee on Citibank Online.
Do I need to pay additional charges for using Citi Mobile?
There is no charge for the use of Citi Mobile.
Can I access Citi Mobile on any mobile handset?
To enjoy better user experience, this service will work best with handsets belonging to the latest certified handset model list.

Why is the connection to Citi Mobile sometimes very slow?
The mobile internet connection speed of mobile handsets varies depending on different factors, such as location, network coverage, service provider, connection type and handset model. The streamlined design of Citi Mobile is tailor-made to help reduce the loading time
Is Citi Mobile secure?
To ensure the highest level of security, Citi Mobile utilizes two-factor authentication. In addition, no financial information is stored on the mobile phone. The security features of Citi Mobile make it as safe as the Citibank Online.
The online session will be automatically terminated after idling for 5 minutes, which prevents unauthorized use of your session by anyone else. 2-factor authentication is necessary for all financial transactions. We also send a One Time Password via Flash SMS to provide you with superior usability.
We have deployed various security measures to safeguard your information. It is just as safe as Citibank Online:
  1. The website is protected with strong encryption (128-bit Secure Sockets Layer) for access and transactions.
  2. Access is protected by personalized User Name, Password and a valid one time password.
  3. The mobile banking session will be automatically terminated after it has remained idle for 5 minutes, which prevents unauthorized use of your session by anyone else.
  4. Furthermore, Citi Mobile doesn't store any personal account information on your smart phone.
What else do I need to do to protect myself from fraud?
Online banking is convenient and safe as long as you take a number of simple precautions. Here are some simple steps you can take to protect yourself:
  • If you have any doubts about the authenticity of the website, never provide any information requested from you.
  • Never respond to an email asking for your personal information. Remember, Citibank will never ask for your personal information (user ID and Password, PIN, account number, identification number, passport number) in an email.
  • Make sure that the flag in your mobile device settings allowing to automatically fill out the User Name and Password fields is turned off.
  • Clear the cache memory of your mobile phone or communicator after each Citi Mobile session.
Can I access Citi Mobile abroad?
Yes, you can access Citi Mobile anywhere you have a mobile internet connection via your mobile handset.
What do I do if Citi Mobile pages are incorrectly displayed on my mobile phone?
If Citi Mobile pages are incorrectly displayed on your mobile device, you need to report this to Citibank through Citibank Online or call our 24-hour CitiPhone Banking on 16644..
For a fast resolution, please describe the situation providing as many details as possible - the manufacturer and model of your phone, the name of your Internet browser, the date and time of error. If possible, please attach a photo of the incorrect Citi Mobile page.
How can I add a new Funds Transfer or Utility Bill Payment payee so that the account is available on Citi Mobile?
You can add a new payee on Citibank Online "Transfers & Payments – Manage Payee”. For all Funds Transfer payees, you'll need to activate the payee by entering the One Time Password on Citibank Online.
How can I create my Citi Mobile User Name and Password?
You do not need to create a separate Citi Mobile User Name and Password. Just use your existing Citibank Online User Name and Password.
If I go to www.citibankegypt.com through my mobile phone, can I create my Citibank Online User Name and Password?
We strongly recommend creating you User Name and Password through your PC and not through your mobile phone.
I forgot my User Name. What shall I do?
You can request for a reminder of your User Name on Citibank Online, by clicking on the «User ID Reminder» link where you'll be asked to enter your Card Number, ATM PIN and One Time Password.
I forgot my Password. What shall I do?
You can reset your Password by clicking on the «Forgot your User Name» link on the initial "Sign On" screen of Citibank Online. You'll first be asked to validate yourself by entering your User ID, Card Number, ATM PIN and One Time Password.
Can I change my User Name and Password through Citi Mobile?
This option is only available through Citibank Online. You may change your User Name and Password after you sign on to Citibank Online through your PC.
