  • 1. Earn 2 AAdvantage® miles on American Airlines and US Airways purchases: The primary cardmember will earn two American Airlines AAdvantage® miles per $1 spent on eligible purchases made with the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card. Eligible American Airlines and US Airways purchases are items billed by American Airlines or US Airways as merchant of record booked through American Airlines or US Airways channels (aa.com, usairways.com, American Airlines and US Airways reservations, US Airways Vacations® and American Airlines and US Airways airport and city ticket counters). Products or services that do not qualify are car rentals, hotel reservations, American Airlines Vacations packages, purchases of American Airlines AAdvantage® miles, purchases of US Airways Dividend® Miles, duty free purchases and AA CargoSM products and services. Miles earned will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage® account in 8-10 weeks.
  • 2. Earn 2 AAdvantage® miles on eligible business purchases: The primary cardmember will earn two American Airlines AAdvantage® miles per $1 spent on eligible purchases with the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card at certain office supply merchants, telecommunications merchants and car rental merchants. Office supply merchants are defined as stand-alone merchants that primarily sell stationery and office supplies for business consumption. Telecommunications merchants are defined as merchants that sell telecommunications equipment such as telephones, fax machines, pagers and cellular phones, along with providers of telecommunications services including local and long-distance telephone calls and fax services. Car rental merchants are defined as providers of short-term or long-term rentals of cars, trucks or vans. This does not include merchants that rent motor homes or other recreational vehicles. Purchases made through travel agencies, tour operators and online third party travel sites are not eligible. AAdvantage® bonus miles will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage® account 8 -10 weeks after a qualifying purchase.
  • 3. First checked bag free: For benefit to apply, the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® account must be open 7 days prior to air travel AND, reservation must include the primary cardmember's American Airlines AAdvantage® number 7 days prior to air travel. If your credit card account is closed for any reason, these benefits will be cancelled.  Eligible CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® primary cardmembers may check one bag free of charge when traveling on domestic itineraries (i.e., all flights on the same itinerary must be domestic flights) marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated by American Airlines or US Airways, or on itineraries marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated as American Eagle® flights by Compass Airlines, LLC, Envoy Air Inc., ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., Mesa Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., Trans States Airlines, LLC, or as US Airways ExpressSM flights by Mesa Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., Trans States Airlines, LLC., PSA Airlines, Piedmont Airlines, or Air Wisconsin Airline Corp. This benefit will not be available for travel on codeshare flights booked with an American Airlines or US Airways flight number but operated by another airline. For the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card, up to four (4) customers traveling with the eligible primary cardmember will also get their first checked bag free of charge if they are listed in the same reservation. Benefit does not apply to overweight or oversized bags. This benefit cannot be combined with any existing AAdvantage® elite program benefits, including any waiver of baggage charges. Boarding Privileges: For benefit to apply, the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® account must be open 7 days prior to air travel AND, reservation must include the primary cardmember's American Airlines AAdvantage® number 7 days prior to air travel. If your credit card account is closed for any reason, these benefits will be cancelled. This benefit will not be available for travel on US Airways flights or on codeshare flights booked with an American Airlines or US Airways flight number but operated by another airline. Up to four (4) customers traveling with and listed in the same reservation as the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® primary credit cardmember are eligible for Group 1 or Zone 2 boarding. Group 1 Boarding: Eligible CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® cardmembers will have Group 1 boarding on domestic flights marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated by American Airlines, or on domestic flights marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated as American Eagle® flights by Compass Airlines, LLC, Envoy Air Inc., ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., Mesa Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., or Trans States Airlines, LLC. The Group 1 boarding benefit on your CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card will display at the top of your American Airlines boarding pass as Group 1. Zone 2 Boarding Eligible CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® cardmembers will have Zone 2 boarding on domestic flights marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated by US Airways, or on domestic flights marketed by American Airlines or US Airways and operated as US Airways ExpressSM flights by Mesa Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., Trans States Airlines, LLC., PSA Airlines, Piedmont Airlines, or Air Wisconsin Airline Corp. Zone 2 boarding will only be printed on the top of the boarding pass of the eligible CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® primary cardmember.
  • 5. 25% In-Flight Savings: CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® cardmembers will receive a 25% savings on in-flight purchases of food, beverages, and headsets on flights operated by American Airlines and US Airways when purchased with their CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card. Savings do not apply to any other in-flight purchases, such as wireless internet access, SkyMallTM and DutyFree. This benefit is not available on codeshare flights booked with an American Airlines or US Airways flight number but operated by another airline. Offer is available on eligible flights as long as supplies last. Savings will appear as a statement credit 6-8 weeks after the transaction is posted to the cardmember's credit card account.
