Global Director of MicrofinanceBuilding on Citi's 40-year history of philanthropic and technical support in microfinance, Citi Microfinance was launched to focus on developing commercial relationships with microfinance institutions, networks and investors around the globe in order to expand access to financial services for the unbanked and underbanked.

By supporting commercially sustainable MFIs, we are helping to expand access to capital, as well as savings, insurance, remittances and other products that provide microentrepreneurs and their families with financial choices and opportunities. We believe that an inclusive financial services industry is crucial to economic and social development; and by leveraging the strengths of Citi's franchise, global reach and financial resources, we can make a difference on extending our financing reach in a sustainable and commercial basis.

Working with our businesses, we are proud of the leadership position we have achieved in the financial services industry and the microfinance sector for the innovative products and services we offer our clients and partners and the standard-setting practices and policies we have adopted for our businesses in this emerging market.
